COLD PROCESS SOAP INSTRUCTIONS

COLD PROCESS SOAP INSTRUCTIONS 1. Measure water and measure lye 2. Pour lye into water and stir to dissolve 3. While lye water cools to 90°F-100°F, measure oils and melt over medium heat. 4. While oils cool to 90°F-100°F, measure essential oils 5. Cool oils below the lye water temp, pour lye water into oils 6. Stir soap ingredients with stick blender until reach a light trace 7. Add fragrance EO's and thoroughly stir with stick blender to trace 8. Add colorant and swirl 9. Pour soap into mold 10. Unmold after 24 hours and cut soap loaf into bars 11. Allow soap to cure for 4-6 weeks

Basic 3 Oil Soap: Coconut, Olive and Castor 10-12 bars 1000 gram (2 lb) mold To whiten soap:  Add 1 tsp Titanium Dioxide per 1 lb of oils to your lye-water mixture. You can use it to lighten the entire batch, or just part of a batch - incorporating it into swirls.

    Gypsy Rainbow Soap Cold Process 30 bars 70 oz. flat mold Ingredients: 500 g Coconut Oil 300 g Olive Oil 200 g Castor Oil 380 g Distilled Water 150.04 g Lye 30 g EO Step 1: Prepare Mold Line mold with butcher paper.   Prop up corner of mold with a chopstick or wooden spoon. Set out another chopstick for striping. Step 2:   Prepare Color   Add 1 tsp of the following colored clays and 1 Tbsp distilled water into 6 pouring containers: Red: Australian Reef Clay Pink: French Rose Clay ( Pink Brazilian ) Orange: Moroccan Red Clay + French Red Clay ( Brazilian Red ) Yellow: Brazilian Gold Clay Pale Green: French Green Clay Purple: Brazilian Purple Clay Stir well with chopstick. Step 3:  Fats Mixture Measure fats in  64 oz glass container. Melt down the solid fats to 120-130 degrees. Step 4: Essential Oils Mixture Measure EO's in separate bowls. Moisturizer SMALL BATCH: 2.5 oz distilled water 0.07 oz raw honey (or vegetable glycerine) 0.17 oz shea butter 0.49 oz almond oil 0.21 oz immulsifying wax 8 drops dominant essential oil 5 drops secondary essential oil LARGE BATCH (X10): 25 oz distilled water 0.7 oz raw honey 1.7 oz shea butter 4.9 oz almond oil 2.1 oz immulsifying wax 80 drops dominant essential oil 50 drops secondary essential oil In large skillet with 1/2" simmering water and 2 glass containers, add water & honey in one. Add shea butter, sunflower oil, and wax in other. Melt. Pour ingredients together and use aerator for small batch/use stick blender for large batch. Add EO's and finish blending. Pour into containers. Moisturizer will thicken over the next 2-3 hours.

  Honey Oatmeal Goat Milk Soap (HP) ?? bars ?? oz. mold Fats Mixture: 16 oz coconut oil 16 oz olive oil Lye Solution: 12.16 oz distilled water 4.844 oz lye Essential Oil Blend:     1 oz essential oils Other Ingredients:     1.5 oz beeswax 1 tsp honey 1/2 c dried goat milk 1 tsp citric acid 1.5 Tbsp chopped oatmeal Step 1:  Fats Mixture Set crock pot on HOT setting.   Measure and put fats into crock pot.   Melt down the solid fats then set crock pot to KEEP WARM setting. Step 2: Lye Solution Measure water into glass container.   Measure lye in separate glass container. Take water & lye outside with wooden spoon. Pour lye slowly into water and mix well.   Step 3:   Gently pour lye solution into fats in crock pot.   Use immersion blender to mix to light trace (looks like pudding with a gentle peak).
